01

A student day should not need six disconnected portals.

FESB students move between timetable systems, identity providers, cafeteria services, job boards, sports feeds and faculty pages. UNIfesb turns those fragments into one cohesive iOS experience.

The app is tailored to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split. It gives students a personal dashboard and purpose-built tools instead of simply placing university websites inside a mobile shell.

Academic

Schedule and courses

Offline timetables, change alerts, attendance context, course syllabuses and lecturer information.

Financial

X-ica wallet

Remaining subsidy, daily limits, spending statistics and itemized transaction history.

Campus

Canteens in real time

Live crowd cameras, daily menus and favorite restaurants help students decide where to eat.

Opportunity

Jobs and UniSport

Student contracts, open jobs, live matches, scores, schedules and league placements.

02

Native on the surface, resourceful underneath.

Most source systems have no public JSON API and sit behind AAI@EduHr authentication. UNIfesb combines direct network requests with a controlled, headless WebKit engine to turn authenticated pages into reliable native data.

The entire scraping flow runs on the student’s device. Credentials remain in the iOS Keychain, WebKit scripts execute locally, and personal student records are never forwarded to an external service. Serialized local caches keep essential information available offline and feed the home-screen widgets.

03

Go beyond aggregation and improve the day.

Gap optimiser

Find a better timetable

A local algorithm evaluates conflict-free alternative class groups to minimize total span, idle gaps or late starts.

Awareness

Notice what changed

Cached calendars are compared over time so moved, cancelled or rescheduled classes can trigger useful alerts.

At a glance

Widgets before launch

Schedule and X-ica widgets surface the next room, card balance, daily limit and current spending on the home screen.

Resilience

Fallback through WebKit

When SAML redirects defeat a direct request, a background browser completes authentication and parses the same page locally.

04

Utility with enough personality to feel personal.

UNIfesb treats student infrastructure as a premium consumer product: native materials, clear colour coding and playful moments without compromising information density.

Semester Wrapped turns local attendance, classroom time and canteen spending into an interactive end-of-term story with achievements such as Early Bird, Perfect Week and Budget Master. The wider visual system includes a Metal raymarched glass orb and SpriteKit physics for tactile onboarding moments.

Design principle

Calm outside

Complex scraping, SSO and data normalization stay invisible behind an interface organized around the student’s day.

Current state

Active development

The product is expanding as Unispot, with the native architecture ready for deeper academic and campus utilities.
